North - east monsoon is also known as retreating monsoon then why these both are consider as different season?

retreating monsoon means monsoon which comes again. after drinking the Himalaya range. monsoon gain it's moisture from Bay of Bengal while returning. Advancing monsoon comes from South west

hey mate here is your answer...
north east monsoon is also known as retreating monsoon because from the north east direction that is from Assam ,west Bengal and etc..the monsoon comes or you may say retreat now the monsoon comes to the case of advancing monsoon ,the moisture comes from the Arabian Sea and from the bay of Bengal and there is rainfall in Kerala ....
