1) Moon has a more stronger gravitational pull as compared to the due to its close proximity with the earth. Whereas the sun is much farther away from earth.
2)Near the coastline, some low lying marshy or lagoons form, due to the accumulation of seawater in the lowly areas, thus confining water and forming big lagoons.
3) The moon exerts a gravitational pull, which causes a bulge in the large ocean , which is the possible reason why the place opposite to a particular place having high tide experiences a high tide, or vice versa.
