Answer:

x=80

Step-by-step explanation:

angle AED is vertically opposite to angle CEB.

VERTICSLLY OPPOSITE ANGLES ARE EQUAL

angle AED=angle CEB. 《LET THE UNKNOWN ANGLE BE X.》

80+X=160

X=160-80

X=80.

Concept

It is referred to as an intersection when two or more lines cross at a single place. It is referred to as the point of junction when they cross one another. Any angle higher than 0° and less than 180° is used to join intersecting lines. Vertically opposing angles are formed when two lines cross one another. Angles that are vertically opposed to one another are equal in size and opposite to one another.

Given

∠FBD = 80°

∠CEB = 160°

Find

the x as the angle of ∠AEF

Solution

sum of the angle in a straight line is 180°

we know that  ∠AED is vertically opposite to  ∠CEB, hence vertically opposite angles are equal.

∠AED = ∠CEB

∠AED = ∠AEF ₊ ∠FED

∠AED = x ₊ 80°

x ₊ 80 = 160

x = 160 ₋ 80

x = 80

hence we get the  ∠AEF as 80°
