Solution:

Let x = 0.3454545...   => Equation 1

Multiplying by 100 on both sides we get,

=> 100x = 34.54545...   => Equation 2

Subtraction Equation 1 from Equation 2 we get,

=> 100x - x = 34.54545 - 0.34545

=> 99x = 34.54 - 0.34

=> 99x = 34.2

=> 990 x = 342

=> x = 342 / 990

Which can be further simplified to: x = 171 / 495

Hence the p / q form is 171 / 345.
