There are four different types of marketing control, namely, annual plan control, profitability control, efficiency control and strategic control. We shall give brief explanations to these marketing controls.

ANNUAL PLAN CONTROL:This is the prime responsibility of the top management and the essence is to ensure that plans are carried out as planned. It involves measuring actual performances against annual marketing plan and apply corrections to variations where and when necessary.
