Ligaments are formed of strong but elastic tissue. Bundles of yellow fibrous connective tissue form ligaments. These attach bones to each other at the joints. Ligaments connects one bone with the other.These form protective tissue elastic coverings on blood vessles and bronchioles.
It has yellow fibres formed of protein elastein. Due to the presense of a network of elastic yellow fibres in the matrix, this tissue fibres are highly elastic.
