The Mahabharata Sanskrit: महाभारतम् is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India, the other being the Ramayana.

The Mahabharata is an epic narrative of the Kurukshetra War and the fates of theKaurava and the Pandava princes. It also contains philosophical and devotional material, such as a discussion of the four "goals of life" or purusharthas . Among the principal works and stories in the Mahabharata are the Bhagavad Gita, the story of Damayanti, an abbreviated version of the Ramayana, and theRishyasringa, often considered as works in their own right.

Answer:

The Hindu epic 'Mahabharata' is full of characters. They all had a very important role in Mahabharata.

One of them is Yudhishthira.

Explanation:

Yudhishthira or namely called as Dharma Raja was the most important character of Mahabharata. He is well known for his truthfulness. He neither lied nor behaved wrongly in his whole life time.

Dharma Raja was in side of truth and the truth only. He devoted his whole life for the truth along with his four brothers whom he called Anuja. They were Bheema, Arjuna, Nakula, Sahadeva. His mother's name was कुंती and he was called as कौंतेय ( the child of कुंती ). His father was King Pandu who was died early in his childhood.

The Hindu epic Mahabharata is famous for the war among the brothers and ours. Actually, the war was between truth and false. True was Yudhishthira while false was Duryodhana, the cousin of Dharma Raja.

The life of Yudhishthira was very troubleful. But, there is no success in road of velvet! Dharma Raja won the battle and Hastinapura with his army and Lord Krishna.

He was the only who succeeded to go to heaven as he didn't lie in his lifetime and always supported truth.

Yudhishthira was not only a warrior but also a saint.
