Note: - The magnitude of the displacement may be equal or less than the distance
but never more than the distance. Magnitude may be understood by the following
example. Suppose the distance is 5km from a point A to B then the magnitude of
this distance is 5 and km is unit. Magnitude and unit both are needed to express a
quantity that are distance, displacement, velocity, speed etc.
1.A particle is moving in a circular path of radius r.
The displacement after half a circle would be:
(a) Zero
(b) nr
(c) 2r
(d) 2nr
