The students at Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, Mohali very enthusiastically participated in the activities on the first day of cleanliness campaign week. This campaign is an extension of the swatchh Bharat, Swatchh Vidyala movement initiated by the Govt. of India.
As instructed by the govt of India and CBSE, New Delhi, a special assembly was organized in which the students spoke on the importance of cleanliness. Speeches, poems and rhymes were presented in the assembly to mark the opening of the week long endeavor.
The students of class III and IV along with their mentors cleaned the ground, lawns and the parking lots in the school whereas the students of class V (all sections) participated in painting and essay writing activity in their classes. The students and the teachers cleaned their class rooms. All the classes have been allocated different days throughout the week for the above said purpose. During the weeklong campaign the students will visit the surrounding areas too, to clean the particular palces. They will be presenting nukkar nataks too in the coming days.
