DPS Durg celebrated its Fourteenth Annual Day on Tuesday, the 24th January, 2017 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Shri Gaurishankar Agrawal, Hon’ble Speaker, Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha, was the esteemed Chief Guest. Among other dignitaries present were Dr. HimanshiDwivedi, Managing Editor, Haribhoomi and Member, Managing Committee, DPS Durg, Shri Vivek Varma, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Durg, Shri H. S. Batra, Member, Managing Committee, DPS Durg, other Government Officials, Principal, Mr. Jaya Prakash, Principals of various schools, members of the PTA, press, parents and students.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest ShriGaurishankarAgrawal, Hon’ble speaker of Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha, escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges. Next, the Principal, Mr. Jaya Prakash formally welcomed the eminent guests and introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest to the gathering and read the School’s Annual report of the past session. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school.
