In this type of complex circuit we need to go on assigning potential drops along each of the resistance and then simplify the circuit to get the equivalent resistance.
please refer to the attached photo to understand better.
In the photo, I have shown the simplified circuit.
The equivalent resistance = 3 ohms.
Given : Total potential difference supplied by the batteries = 3 volts
Current through the circuit is given by total voltage divided by equivalent resistance.
I = (V/R eq.)
= 3 /3
= 1 amperes.
Therefore answer is
R eq. = 3 ohms
I = 1 amperes
