Answer:

Given digits are

(a) 3, 8, 7

(b) 9, 0, 5

(c) 0, 4, 9

(d) 8, 5, 1

For getting the greatest number, we have to consider the largest number among the three.

For getting the smallest number, we need to look on the smallest number among the three

For 3, 8, 7

The greatest number can be found out by putting largest number in order

8>7>3

Hence, the greatest number be 8873 [we are putting the largest number twice]

The smallest number can be found out by putting the smallest number in order

3<7<8

Hence, the smallest number be 3378 [we are putting the smallest number twice]

In the same way, we are considering the other numbers also.

(a) Greatest number is 8873

Smallest number is 3378

(b) Greatest number is 9950

Smallest number is 5059

(c) Greatest number is 9940

Smallest number is 4049

(d) Greatest number is 8851

Smallest number is 1158
