nucleus and mitochondria are called as autonomous and semi autonomous respectively. why?

Mitochondria itself has its own DNA so it also produce some proteins but still it depends on the Nucleus DNA for some other important proteins to carry out its functions.. as it can replicate independently it is autonomous but still depends on the nucleus DNA SO called as semi autonomous body….

<> Mitochondria have DNA of their own by which they can reproduce freely.
<> It also have their own ribosomes (i.e mitoribosomes).
<> They synthsize and make protein by their own within the cell nucleus.
<> They show internal growth.
