  • BF_{3} , SiF_{4} , SbCl_{3} , BiCl_{3} undergo partial hydrolysis.

  1. BF_{3} undergoes partial hydrolysis due to the formation of adduct.

      BF_{3} + H_{2}OBF_{3}.H_{2}O

    2. CaF_{2} is very sparingly soluble in water due to their lattice energy that's

    why it does not undergoes hydrolysis.

   3. NF_{3}  does not undergo hydrolysis at room temperature but it undergoes

    complete hydrolysis at high temperature.

   4. SiF_{4} undergoes partial hydrolysis to form H_{4}SiO_{4} + H_{2}SiF_{6}

    5. SbCl_{3} and BiCl_{3} undergoes partial hydrolysis because of increase in ionic

     character and forms SbOCl and BiOCl.

    6. SF_{6} and CH_{4} are inert because of their structure that's why they do not

     undergo hydrolysis.

    So only four halides will undergo partial hydrolysis.
