Now since 20 moles of A are taken , let us assume all 20 moles reacted (100% yield) and formed C.

According to stoichiometry and comparing the coefficients of balanced equation:

2 moles of A form 3 moles of C

20 moles of A form 30 moles of C

Assuming 100% theoretical yield , 30 moles of C are formed.

But given % yield is 80%

So actual moles of C obtained = 80% of 30 = 24 moles of C
