Step-by-step explanation:

Let k be the common factor.

As per given condition:

 \frac{2k + 4000}{3k + 4000}  =  \frac{40}{57}

after cross multiplying

114k + 228000 = 120k + 160000

6k = 68000

k = 68000/6 = 11333.3 ~ 11334

stars = 2k = 22668

moons = 3k = 33999 ~ 34000
