number that becomes thrice if the right most digit is moved to the left most place
Answers
The first digit of the answer must be 1,2 or 3 because if it were any greater then multiplying it with three would give an answer which has more then 6 digits.
So lets start with keeping the first no. as 1 ...
So the number must be like this: 1 a z y x b.(the letters are variables.)
After multiplying 1 a z y x b with 3 the answer must be a z y x b 1.
Thus b*3 must have 1 in the units place so the value of b will be 7.
Therefore b=7
We can now write the number as: 1 a z y x 7
Now in order to find the values of a, z, y and x please see the beautiful and systematic working done by me below:)
So the number we get by using the values for a, z, y, x and b is :
142857
which when we multiply with 3 we get:
428571.
I hope my working is clear and helpful enough. If you have a question please ask in the comments. And if you feel the answer is satisfying please up-vote the answer.
EDIT: There is another answer for this and it can be found using similar methods. Just substitute 1 with 2 and 7 with 4
