Answer:

(x + 3) (x - 3) < 0

=> x² - 9 < 0

=> x² < 9

=> x < ± 3

Therefore, x = (2, 1, 0,.., -∞) or x = (-4, -5, -6,.., -∞)

Solution :

›› (x + 3)(x - 3) < 0

Using identity :

  • (a + b)(a - b) = a² - b²

›› x² - 9 < 0

Adding 9 on both sides

›› x² - 9 + 9 < 0 + 9

›› x² < 9

›› x < √9

›› x < ± 3

Solution set of inequalities :

x = (.....,-3 , - 2, - 1 ,0, 1, 2) Or

x = (- 4 , - 5, -6 ......)
