Amoebas use their psuedopodia to grasp out to feed and create a food vacuole. Paramecium don't “engluf” their food like amoebas do but take in particles of food through their “mouth” (aka oral groove). Paramecium create a food vacuole as well, but the vacuole is separate from the “mouth” where in amoebas they engulf their prey and create a food vacuole then and ther surrounding the food.
Think of it this way: paramecium have an immobile “stomach” (food vacuole) and have to bring food to it. Amoebas can crate a “stomach” to surround the food their engulfing.

Also, paramecium have two nuclei: one for cellular functions (phagocytosis, protein sythesis, etc.), and one for reproduction. Amoebas have only one nucleus that carries out all functions.
