Given ' O ' is centre of the circle.

OM = 9 cm

Chord ( AB ) = 24 cm

Radius = OA

OM perpendicular to AB

and

OM bisects AB .

AM = AB/2 = 24/2 = 12 cm

In ∆AOM ,

<AMO = 90°

By Phythogarian theorem ,

OA² = AM² + OM²

= 12² + 9²

= 144 + 81

= 225

OA² = 225

OA = 15 cm

Therefore ,

Radius ( OA ) = 15 cm
