o is the center of the circle and AC is its diameter. smaller circle with ab as diamter is shown. if ac is equal to 54 cm and bc is equal to 10 cm. find the area of the shaded region.

AC= 54cm
BC = 10cm

Therefore,

AB = AC-BC
 
AB= 54-10
  AB = 44


Now,
Radius of big circle is 27



& Radius of Small circle is 22
Now,

Area of Shaded region = Area of Big Circle - Area of Small Circle

= π x 272 - π x 222
= 729 π  - 484 π
= 245 π
= 770 cm2
