Given:

Volume of mixture = 67.2 litre

Mass of mixture = 100 gm

To Find:

The mass of O2 in the mixture.

Calculation:

- No of moles in 22.4 L gas = 1 mole

- No of moles in 67.2 L gas = 67.2/22.4 = 3 moles

- So we have to find such a combination whose total mass is 100 gm and the no of moles of gases is 3

- Using hit and trial method, we get such a combination as given below:

0.25 moles of O3 = 12 gm

2.75 moles of O2 = 88 gm

- Hence, the mass of O2 in the mixture is 88 gm.
