When the object is placed at centre of curvature (2F) before a focal length, then the image is formed at 2F , it is inverted , real and same size

So, we can conclude that ht. of object (ho) is equal to the ht. of image (hi) .

Magnification = hi /ho

= hi/hi

m = 1

But the magnification should be negative as the image is inverted and real.

So the magnification is -1

The size image forms is equal to that of the object when the object is placed at Centre of Curvature before a concave mirror.

Height of image(hi) = height of object(ho)

We know, in mirrors,

Magnification (M)

= hi/ho

= 1 (hi = ho)

As image is real & inverted, the value of magnification would be negative.

So, magnification is -1 in this case.
