The jaltarang is an Indian music instrument, based on the property of resonance of water. It is a set of bowls or containers, made of porcelain or metal, holding water in varying measures. When these bowls or containers are struck with a stick, they produce melodious sounds of varying notes - high or low.

The high-low notes can be achieved, by increasing or decreasing the water-level in the bowls/containers.
