Inert gases don't have any tendency to react with other elements. They have fulfilled octet. Their outer most shell is fulfilled with 8 electron(He have 2 electron.) so they are placed in a special group in the modern periodic table. This elements are called noble gas also as they don't have any tendency for reaction. But some noble gas react with other elements like XeF etc. etc. These are the observation of noble gas.
