In 1912 niels bohr put forward a structure of an atom the main postulates of the model are as follows,....
- nucleus is situated at the centre of an atom..
- the electrons in an atom revolve around the nucleus in certain fixed circular path
- these circular path are called orbits or shells
- each orbit has fixed energy
- the energy shells are numbered as k l m n
- as long as electron remain the particular shell it does not gain or lose energy.....
