The existence of a single flower is named inflorescence.

The solitary flower is a type of flower at a particular position on a plant. This flower arises singly or is segregated from other flowers by the vegetative area.

  • Pomegranate develops from a fluorescence flower so it is an inflorescence type fruit.
  • The inflorescence is a dichasial cyme containing hermaphrodite, staminate and middle flowers, which are campanulate and tubular, respectively. Both pin- and thrum-type flowers are established in hermaphrodite flowers.
  • Pomegranate is barry-type fruit.
  • A pomegranate flower is also considered a simple fruit. This flower has numerous ovaries, and each ovary gives birth to one ovule. So the raspberry will be an aggregate fruit, and each of the ovaries will formulate a single seed.
