Answer:

At Rest:

The normal pulse rate of a young adult at rest ranges from 70 to 100 beats per minute.

The normal breathing rate of a healthy adult ranges from 12 to 15 breaths per minute.

While Playing:

However, when we are playing or doing exercise, our muscles need plenty of oxygen, so the heart starts beating faster (approximately 200 times for an adult) and breathing rate increases from 15 to 40 or 50 breaths per minute.

Answer:

The Breathing Rate, Heart and rate depends on the developmental stage of an individual

1). Toddlers (age 6 months to 2 years old)

Heart rate: 98 to 140 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 24 to 40 breaths per minute

2). Preschool (child is 3 to 5 years old)

Heart rate: 80 to 120 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 22 to 34 breaths per minute

After playing:

Heart rate: 100 to 170 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 40 to 60 breaths per minute

3). School-age (6 to 11 years old)

Heart rate: 75 to 118 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 18 to 30 breaths per minute

After playing:

Heart rate: 100 to 200 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 30 to 50 breaths per minute

4). Adolescents (12 years old and up)

Heart rate: 60 to 100 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 12 to 16 breaths per minutes

After playing

Heart rate: 120 to 200 beats per minute

Respiratory rate: 30 to 40 breaths per minutes

Therefore, when and individual does physical exercise (playing) they require more energy. So they produce more of the chemical energy molecule called ATP. You need oxygen to produce ATP, so the more ATP you produce, the more oxygen your body requires. Therefore, there breathing rate and heart rate increases during this period.
