I observed the rupees 10 coins and noted the following things:

  1. Inscription on the coin:  Rs. 10 coins were introduced in 2005 and since then it is the second-highest denomination.
  2. The metal used: The outer ring is aluminum-bronze whereas the inner ring is copper-nickel. It is a bimetallic coin.
  3. Year of the coin: The coin was introduced first in 2005 and since then it has changed three times with 2019 being the latest.
  4. Symbol of the coin: "SATYAMEV JAYATE"
  5. Language: The rs. 10 coin has letterings both in Hindi and English. Below SATYAMEV JAYATE, on the left, it is written भारत whereas India is written on the right.
  6. Shape: The coin is a circle in shape. The designs might have changed over the period but the shape remained the same.
  7. Picture: At the center of the coin is the lion capital and SATYAMEV JAYATE is written below it.
  8. Denomination of the coin: Indian rupees 10
