Observe the given diagram:
Crushed potato
Crushed potato
Saliva
Test tube A
Test tube B
Few drops of dilute iodine solution is added to both the test tubes. Blue
colour appears in the test tube B. What change occurs in test tube A ?

Explanation:

since test tube A has crushed potato mixed with saliva, the saliva present in it has acted upon starch to break down into sugars.So it dose not show any colour in presence of iodine solution.
