-Leaf: A leaf changing color is a chemical reaction. The environment makes the process begin. It depends on the weather and season. It changed form or color, but not "identity". It's getting cold, and when it started getting cold, the leaves changed color.
-Burnt wood: A piece of burnt wood is a chemical reaction. A "new" product was formed from burning it. It changed from wood to burnt wood.
