Answer:-

Given:-

  • Total distance travelled (s) = 2000 km
  • Time taken (t) = 8 h

To Find:-

Average speed of the car in (km/h) and (m/s).

_______________...

We know,

Average speed = Total distance/Total time

i.e., v(av) = s/t

∴ v = 2000 km / 8 h

➽ v = 1000 km/4 h

➽ v = 500 km/2h

➽ v = 250 km/h ...(Ans.) in km h^-1

Converting (km/h) to (m/s) by multiplying (5/18) :-

250 × 5/18 m/s

≈ 14 × 5 m/s

= 70 m s^-1. ...(Ans.) in m/s
