x = m1 × x2 + m2 × x1/ m1 + m2

0 = m1 × 1 + m2 × -3/ m1 + m2

0(m1 + m2) = m1 -3m2

0 = m1 - 3m2

3m2 = m1

3/1 = m1/m2

m1 : m2 = 3 : 1

9. 9° + 6kx + 4 = 0

For equal roots,

b² - 4ac = 0

(6k)² - 4 × 9 × 4 = 0

36k² - 144 = 0

36k² = 144

k² = 144 /36

k² = 4

k = √4 = 2
