Hi there!
Here's the answer:

Let Man's salary be x ₹

Rent paid by him= 20% of x = (20/100)×x = 20x/100 --------(1)

His Living expenses = 55% of x= (55/100)×x = 55x/100 --------(2)

Amount deposited in post office = 15% of x = (15/100)×x = 15x/100 --------(3)

30₹ spent on his children's education

x = (20x/100) + (55x/100) + (15x/100) + 30
x - 30 = x(20+55+15)/100
=> x - 30 = 90x/100
=> x - (90x/100) = 30
=> 10x/100 = 30
=> x = 300₹

Shortcut :

Man's salary = 100%
100% - (20+55+15)% = 10%

10% of his salary = 30₹
100% of his salary = (30×100)/10 = 300₹

•°• His salary = 300₹
