Of the three consecutive natural numbers ,five times the smallest number is 9 more than four times the greatest number ,find the numbers?​

Answer:

Let consecutive Number= x , x + 1 ,  x + 2

Greatest is = x + 2

Smallest = x

Middle = x + 1

5x = 4 (x+2) + 9

5x = 4x + 8 + 9

5x -  4x = 8 + 9

x = 17

Smallest = 17

Now consecutive numbers = 17 , 18 , 19

Check

5x =4 (x+2) +9

5 × 17 = 4 (17+2) +9

85 = 76 + 9

85 = 85

Let consecutive Number= x,x+1,,x+2

Greatest is=x+2

Smallest=x

Middle=x+1

5x=4 (x+2)+9

5x=4x+8+9

5x-4x=8+9

x=17

Smallest =17

Now consecutive numbers=17,18,19

Check

5x=4(x+2)+9

5×17=4(17+2)+9

85=76+9

85=85
