Of the three numbers, second is twice the first and is also thrice the third, if the average of the three numbers is 44. find the largest number?

Let the numbers be X,Y and Z
    Y= 2X = 3Z
From the above relation we can find the ratio X:Y:Z = 3:6:2
                                      3k+6k+2k=11k
                                 11k = 44
                                   3
                                 k = 12
therefore, the largest number = 12 * 6 = 72
