it is because in sexual reproduction 2 parents are involved hence in dna copying there are some differences and this results in variation .
hence chances are increased

Offspring formed due to sexual reproduction involve gametic fusion (syngamy) . gametes are mostly formed by two different male and female. gametes are haploid formed by meiosis. In meiosis, recombination of genes occurs and new combination of gene is brought together in a gamete. these gametes fuse to form zygote from which a new individual develops. This reshuffling of genes increase genetic variation. these new genetic recombination make the offspring more tolerant and resistant against adversely changed environmental condition. thus, sexually produced organisms have better chance of survival in nature.
