Because,as it is sexual reproduction two different parents are going to involve. So the characters of mother and father are going to involve so we see variations.

But while coming to asexual only one parent is there so,characters from one parent are going to be inherited

Thus we may not see more variations

The gametes of the parents have a qualitatively different genetic structure.

Explanation:-

  • Offspring formed by sexual reproduction exhibit more variation than those formed by asexual reproduction because the gametes of the parents have a qualitatively different genetic structure.
  • Asexual reproduction is a type of reproduction by which offspring are produced from a single organism, and only the genes of that single parent are inherited.
  • During sexual reproduction, fertilization produces a single-celled zygote that contains genetic material from both gametes.
  • Therefore, the complex mixture of genetic material causes considerable variation in the offspring.
