This extract is taken from the story Madam Rides a Bus by Vallikannan. It is about is about a brave eight year old who had a strong desire and along with it, the courage to fulfill it. She liked to look at the busy street, and the sight of a bus arriving and departing was her favorite part. She therefore developed a strong desire to travel with the coach. One day she manages to travel by the bus and during her bus travel the conductor refers Sir as to an old man, one of the passenger in the bus.  who calls Valli a child, one of the passenger in the bus
