Hey dear,

● Answer -
- Oil and water are two immiscible liquids and thus mix with each other.
- But when detergent is added, it acts as emulsifying agent.
- This forms oil in water type of emulsion.
- Though water & oil dont attract each other they both are held together by detergent molecules.
- Thus, oil & water imx homogenously in presence of sufficient detergent.
