Oil , natural gas and coal are non- renewable resources . As the name non- renewable suggests something that cannot be renewed , but here these resources can be renewed but it takes millions and billions of years to restore / renew these resources. These resources are not man- made nor are they present in abundance like sunlight and air . These resources are used as fuels for many things like running machinery , providing electricity, running trains etc. Since , these resources can be renewed easily so they are called non- renewable fuels .
