Oily hair does not get attracted by a comb whereas a dry hair does. Why ???

oily hair does not produce any charges if rubbed with a comb but it happens so when done by the dry hair...without charges pieces of paper can not be attracted...hope it helps u

Answer:for transfer of charge we need friction and if we use oil the friction reduces significantly, where the electron will not be able to transfer.
Due to which a positive static charge remains in the comb, and the paper being an insulator would repel the comb not leading to any form of attraction between them.
