the shopkeeper earned

=(24000÷100)×15=3600

the rate of gst is 12%.

so amount of tax received by the state government =(3600÷100)×12=432

the answer is Rs.432

Given :

Marked price = Rs. 24000

Rate of profit = 15%

Rate of tax = 12%

To find:

Amount inclusive of tax = ?

Solution:

Amount of profit would be :

\dfrac{15}{100}\times 24000\\\\=15\times 240\\\\=3600

Amount of tax on profit would be :

3600\times \dfrac{12}{100}\\\\=36\times 12\\\\=Rs.\ 432

Hence, the required amount would be Rs. 432.
