on a Cartesian plane draw a square whose point of intersection of the diagonal is 8,3 and one vertex is (6,1)

Dear Student:

intersection of the diagonal is 8,3

x=8 , y =3

and

one vertex is (6,1)  

x=6 , y =1

The intersection will divide the diagonal into two equal parts

We will assume the other vertex points to be (6,1) is (x,y)

8 = 6 +x/2

x  = 10

and 3 = 1 +y/2 so y = 5

Here the other vertex would be (10,5)
