∵0.7 cm = 8.4 km

So by Unitary Method, 1 cm = 8.4/0.7 km

∴4.65 cm = 8.4 / 0.7 * 4.65

=55.8 km

⇒Actual Distance b/w points is 55.8 km

The Distance Between two points is 55.8 km which represents on map 4.65 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

On Scale of map 0.7 cm = 8.4 km

We need to find the actual distance between 2 points which on map represents 4.65 cm

So First we will find distance which scale on map for 1 cm.

now, 0.7 cm = 8.4 km

so 1 cm = distance between 2 points which on map represents 1 cm.

No By using Unitary Method we get;

distance between 2 points which on map represents 1 cm = \frac{8.4}{0.7}= 12\ km

Now we know that;

1 cm = 12 km

So 4.65 cm =  distance between 2 points which on map represents 4.5 cm.

Again by using Unitary Method we get;

distance between 2 points which on map represents 4.65 cm = 12\times4.65 = 55.8\ km

Hence The Distance Between two points is 55.8 km which represents on map 4.65 cm.
