On an annual function, 63/20 metre of cloth is required to make a dress for participant out of which 3/20 metre is wasted. If 220 children participated in the event, how much cloth is used ? Also , find the quantity of cloth wasted.

Implies used cloth = 60/20 m and wasted cloth = 3/20 m for 1 participant.

For 220 participants

Used cloth = 60/20×220 ie. 3×220 = 660 m.

Wasted cloth = 3/20 × 220 = 33 m.
