TISCO is the largest steel producing Indian steel plant which is also a subsidiary of Tata groups. The steel plant is well known for its annual production of 27.5 million tons of steel back in 2017. It is considered as the second largest producer of steel right after SAIL.

TISCO gets its raw materials like coal from Jharia coalfields.

Other raw materials like iron ore, dolomite and manganese from Odisha. TISCO also gets Iron ore, manganese and dolomite from Chhattisgarh.

TISCO gets its sufficient water supply from the Subarnerekha and Kharkai rivers.
