Answer: There were several dynasties that ruled during the Medieval Period on different parts of India. The Medieval Period is divided mainly in two parts: Early Medieval Period which was there from 6th to 13th century and Late Medieval Period from 13th to 16th century.

North India:

The Pratiharas was the main dynasty in the North India ruling there.

East India: Eastern Ganga dynasty also known as the royal dynasty was ruling the Odisha region.

South India: Hoysala Empire which is also a prominent South Indian Kannadiga empire.

West India: Western Ganga Dynasty ruled the west India. They gave many temples there like famous Konark Sun Temple and Jagannath Temple, which is in Puri.
