Pearl millet - also known as bajra is a kharif crop and is chiefly grown in Rajasthan , Gujarath, Uttarpradesh , Maharashtra , Andra pradesh , Tamil Nadu and Punjab.
The crop can grow well in the areas with less than 350 mm anual rainfall and temperature between 25 to 35 degree celcius.
