according to law of conservation of mass,
mass of hydrocarbon+ mass of oxygen--------> mass of water+ mass of carbon dioxide
mass of hydrocarbon+ 0.22g ------> 0.9g+ 0.44g
therefore, mass of hydrocarbon= 1.34g - 0.22g
mass of hydrocarbon=1.12g
mass of hydrocarbon+ mass of oxygen--------> mass of water+ mass of carbon dioxide
mass of hydrocarbon+ 0.22g ------> 0.9g+ 0.44g
therefore, mass of hydrocarbon= 1.34g - 0.22g
mass of hydrocarbon=1.12g

According to the law of conservation of mass mass of reactants is equal to mass of products.
Therefore,
mass of hydrogen + mass of oxygen= mass of water + mass of carbon dioxide
-> mass of hydrocarbon + 0.22g = 0.9g+ 0.44g
-> mass of hydrocarbon = 1.34g - 0.22g
-> mass of hydrocarbon = 1.12g
hope it helps...
Therefore,
